The Criminal Court delivered its judgment on November 20, 2024 in the Pierre Palmade case. The comedian who drove the car which seriously injured several people in February 2023 was sentenced to five prison terms, three of which were suspended.

The end of an affair which will have caused a lot of talk. This Wednesday, November 20, after several hours of deliberation, the Melun criminal court rendered its judgment concerning Pierre Palmade.

The comedian receives a sentence of five in prison, three of which were suspended. The judges therefore followed the requisitions. On the other hand, indicates West , the warrant of committal was deferred. It is the latter who orders the detention. In other words, Pierre Palmade will not go to prison this evening.

Earlier in the day, Pierre Palmade had “asked for forgiveness” from the victims, whom he saw in real life for the first time. During two speeches in front of the court today, he expressed his regrets, his guilt, and his desire to do better. Five years in prison, including two prison terms, were requested against him.

In February 2023, his car collided head-on with a vehicle carrying three members of the same family. The comedian was then under the influence of drugs. A man and a child were seriously injured. A woman who was seven months pregnant lost her baby.

A trauma

At the time of the head-on collision with the comedian’s car, Mila was seven months pregnant. She had lost the baby in the days following the accident. “It’s a trauma that consumes me entirely,” she says.

The psychological blow is heavy and difficult to bear: “The trial forces me to think about the accident, to relive it all over again.”

As a reminder, the comedian was in a situation of recidivism due to a conviction in 2019 for drug use. “Due to this state of legal recidivism, Pierre Palmade faces a sentence of 14 years of imprisonment and a fine of 200,000 euros”according to statements by the Melun prosecutor.
