Around thirty farmers from the Creuse Rural Coordination forcibly entered and damaged the premises of the French Biodiversity Office in Guéret on Tuesday, November 19, noted the journalist from France Bleu Creuse on site, while the farmers were mobilize everywhere in France.
In the middle of the afternoon, these farmers, equipped with eight tractors and four skips, first broke the glass door of the premises of the MSA agricultural mutual, where they placed around ten tires in the front entrance. to forcefully enter the premises housing the OFB, which is located below. They then broke down the front door with kicks and cinder blocks before throwing random files outside. This was followed by heated exchanges with the local director of the OFB.
The farmers of the Creuse Rural Coordination then set fire to a large bale of sheep's wool dumped in front of the local Health Defense Group, in reference to the bluetongue epidemic which is hitting their farms hard.
Farmers have been demonstrating since 1:30 p.m. in front of the prefecture. They were able to meet and discuss with the prefect of Creuse. At the beginning of the evening, they were still in the center of Guéret and had not yet decided on the continuation of their actions.
