For the people who can’t get enough of the SNL “Domingo” sketch or her silly concert antics, Sabrina Carpenter is a gift that keeps on giving. Now, the festive pop star is hurrying down the chimney with a new holiday surprise: a Christmas special.
Carpenter was in L.A. on Monday night for the last stop of her Short N’ Sweet concert tour, where she both arrested Margaret Qualley for being too hot (the citizen’s arrest is a tour staple) and unveiled the trailer for A Nonsense Christmas, which will be out on Netflix come December 6. According to a press release, there will be “comedic guests, unexpected duets, plus many more surprises and fun cameos.” The stacked lineup includes Chappell Roan, Tyla, Shania Twain, Kali Uchis, and Quinta Brunson. Carpenter will perform holiday covers and songs from her holiday EP fruitcake.
If you have already heard last year’s “A Nonsense Christmas” or are generally familiar with Sabrina’s whole thing, you know what’s coming: themed puns and dick jokes galore. Play it at holiday dinner for a good laugh — your parents might be too stressed arguing with their siblings to notice what she means by “big snowballs.”
