Low temperatures everywhere in Brittany

A small degree in Rennes and inland

Brittany Weather forecasts a small degree in Rennes. It will also be cold inland with only one degree in Combourg (Ille-et-Vilaine); in Guerlédan (Côtes-d’Armor); in Loudéac; in Pontivy (Morbihan).

It will be barely warmer in Dinan (Côtes-d'Armor) and Quimper (Finistère) with 3°.

Coastal towns a little less exposed

Coastal towns will be the most spared from this cold episode. However, Météo Bretagne forecasts only 4° on Thursday morning in Saint-Malo and Brest.

Snow in Ille-et-Vilaine

Snow could well fall on “a good part of Ille-et-Vilaine and Côtes-d’Armor”, explains Sébastien Décaux. The Rennes basin is also affected, as are the Monts d'Arrée.

The snow could hold in certain areas like the country of Fougères, with 2 to 5 centimeters.

“Tomorrow, we will refine the quantities of snow on the ground,” explains Sébastien Decaux.

Uncertainties for southern Brittany

The weather models are still uncertain for this snowy episode. Southern Brittany should not be affected by this icy parenthesis. We could see very significant temperature differences. “With 10° in Vannes for example,” adds Sébastien Decaux.

For what ? “It’s because of an air mass conflict. A depression over the south of Brittany will bring back mild air. »

A spectacular warm spell from Sunday

This brief cold snap will quickly give way to “a spectacular mild spell starting on Saturday,” explains Sébastien Decaux. Temperatures will rise to 15° on Sunday.
