Lhe news broke this Monday, November 18: reimbursement by Social Security for medical consultations and medications will drop by 5% in 2025. The Minister of Health, Geneviève Darrieussecq, announced this as the Senate opened, examination of the Social Security financing bill (PLFSS). This is one of the responses found, urgently, to the slippage in drug reimbursements for the year 2024, a loss estimated at 1.2 billion euros.
This is in no way, whatever the government says, a cost-saving measure but a burden transferred, ultimately, to supplementary health insurance and to the insured. If only that was the only gimmick in this budget!
