Unsettled weather has set in in the Loiret, with a cold snap starting this Tuesday, November 19. With wind, rain and maybe a few snowflakes Thursday the 21st.
After three calm and anticyclonic weeks, France suffered a significant drop in temperatures.
“After sometimes sustained rain and wind in the northern half on Tuesday, a polar air mass arrives in the country on Wednesday, causing temperatures to drop to mid-winter levels,” indicates Météo France.
The Loiret is also on yellow alert for winds, rain and flooding for Tuesday.
Mid-winter temperatures
The Loiret will be affected by winter temperatures, from Wednesday: between 3°C and 7°C in Orléans.
On Thursday temperatures will drop further (from 1°C to 7°C in Montargis) with the possibility of rain turning into light snow in the afternoon and evening. But nothing is certain yet.

“The cold gets worse on Thursday in the north, Météo France analyzes. We should observe frequent small frosts under cover. In this cold context for the season, a new disturbance will begin in the country. A mild spell planned for this weekend
According to Météo France, Saturday morning will be “still cold with frequent frosts”, before “a powerful mild spell during the day with temperatures rising sharply driven by a southwest current”.
