The Autonomous National Electoral Commission (CENA) expressed its satisfaction following the early legislative elections of November 17, 2024. In a press release, the supervisory body praised the exemplary behavior of citizens and the good organization of the vote, which took place took place in a calm and peaceful atmosphere.

The CENA congratulated the Senegalese for their civic spirit and their attachment to democratic principles. She noted that from the opening of the polling stations at 8 a.m. until their closing at 6 p.m., voters mobilized calmly to fulfill their duty. The institution also paid tribute to the defense and security forces, whose reassuring presence helped to guarantee a serene environment in the polling places.

In its press release, the CENA stressed that the voting and counting operations took place in complete transparency, thanks to the collaboration of the candidates, their representatives and the voters.
