Traders from have launched a daring operation to try to save their local businesses.

Some decided to get naked to create a calendar and create a buzz.

With one goal: to encourage customers to prefer their businesses to supermarkets.

The 1 p.m.

They are restaurateurs, chefs or roasters… And they have decided to bare themselves. “Being as naked as my chicken… It's the first time, and it's pretty cool!” laughs Delphine De Meo, manager of a rotisserie in the town of Beausset. The initiative is cheeky, but the goal is important: to attract customers again to local shops and to a city center that is less and less busy in this locality in the Var.

“There are people who work outside, so they perhaps consume a little more outside or when they come home in the evening, they will perhaps go and consume in stores, supermarkets on the outskirts. So we , we want to revitalize this street”, she further details.

Create a buzz

With her, 12 traders took part in this rather special session, like Vincent Fourneret, manager of the restaurant “Le Concept”. “The photos will then be used to make a calendar, to create buzz, to show that commerce in the small village of Beausset is still alive,” he assures.
