The young footballer was coming out of a birthday party in the Paris region.
Footballer George Ilenikhena, a player for AS Monaco, was attacked during the night from Saturday to Sunday in the Paris region. He had just left a birthday party and was about to get behind the wheel of his car in the company of a friend when he was attacked in the Tarterêts district of Corbeil-Essonnes (Essonne).
At least four men, hooded and some with handguns, attacked the two friends, forcing the young footballer to hand over his luxury shoes, his iPhone as well as the keys to his Volkswagen Golf, reports Le Parisien.
The attackers wanted to flee with the stolen vehicle, but they crashed it. They then left on foot, leaving George Ilenikhena, his friend and the car stranded. The police intervened on the spot to observe the facts. The footballer, who was not injured, filed a complaint this Monday morning. The Franco-Nigerian striker was born in Lagos (Nigeria) and grew up in Hauts-de-Seine, where he kept his ties, recall our colleagues.
