On the Atalanta radar, as a possible summer reinforcement in 2025, there is Daniel Maldini. In January, barring injuries, the Dea shouldn't touch almost anything, apart from adjustments to the bench: with Scalvini's return the defense will be complete, while up front (if Zaniolo doesn't have problems) the rotations will be guaranteed. And Scamacca could also return from mid-February. So in Zingonia players are already being monitored with a view to the summer and among these there is the 23 year old from Monza. Atalanta's plan remains to invest, even significant sums, in Under 25 players, ready but with room for growth, suitable to make the leap in quality with Gasperini's training. Maldini has all these requirements. “Enormous talent, son of a very prestigious family. A boy that Atalanta must follow. We are certainly monitoring him”, explained CEO Luca Percassi a few weeks ago. Any discussion is premature, but Dea seems to be ahead of the competition, due to the historic good relations with Monza and Galliani who yesterday declared: “Daniel has great potential. He will end the year here, then we'll see”. Excellent, then, the relations between the Percassi and Paolo Maldini.
