Fabio Van den Bossche and Benjamin Thomas ultimately win the Six Days of Ghent after an extremely exciting team race

Lindsay De Vylder and Robbe Ghys entered the final team race as leaders, but were ultimately unable to maintain this position. It was extremely exciting in a packed ‘t Kuipke. Only in the last fifty rounds did the duo Van den Bossche-Thomas go up and over their competitors. The victory is extra nice for Fabio Van den Bossche, because he was born and raised in Ghent.

Fabio Van Den Bossche and Benjamin Thomas won the 83rd Six Days of Ghent on Sunday. The Belgian-French duo took another lap at the absolute end of the final team race and thus kept top favorites Lindsay De Vylder and Robbe Ghys from a third victory in a row.

Jules Hesters and Aaron Gate took third place on the podium. Van Den Bossche and Thomas finished with 338 points. De Vylder and Robbe did better with 370 points, but failed on one lap, just like Hesters and Gate, who collected 317 points over the six days.
