Jannik Sinner was visibly in a hurry this Saturday. Indeed, during the 2nd semi-final of the ATP Masters, the Italian soundly beat Casper Ruud in two sets (6-1, 6-2) and a little over an hour of play (1h10 to be exact). In Turin, in front of an audience logically committed to his cause, the world number 1 was quick to join Taylor Fritz in the final of the “masters tournament”. In the first set, the native of San Candido did not take long to take the Norwegian's service for the first time at 1-0, before having to work by saving two break points and thus lead 4-1. Behind, in a white station wagon, Sinner definitely stood out against Ruud, to whom he left only crumbs during this meeting. Still as authoritarian as he has been since the start of the week, the world number 1 then concluded this first set without trembling.

As a reminder, after beating him in the final of the US Open last September, Sinner beat the future 4th in the world this week during the group stage (6-4, 6-4, last Tuesday). It remains to be seen whether the Californian will this time be able to worry the current boss of the ATP circuit.
