But actually, why are there 3 French women in the Miss Universe 2024 competition?
Indira Ampiot assured that she was “very proud” to have been able to represent France in the Miss Universe 2024 competition, but she was not the only French woman to participate in this event. For what ? Because Guadeloupe and Martinique had decided to send their own candidates. This year, it was Miss Universe Martinique 2024, Catherine Edouard, who represented her island. Elected second runner-up to Miss Martinique 2022, the pretty brunette is a regular at beauty pageants and a fervent defender of the cause of mental health care. Guadeloupe, for its part, was represented by Miss Universe Guadeloupe, Coraly Desplan. The young woman carried on her shoulders the hope of an entire island, which was making its comeback to Miss Universe after forty years of absence.
