Already qualified for the quarters, Germany signed a big victory this evening against Bosnia-Herzegovina and secures first place in its group. The match, on the pitch at the Europa-Park Stadion in Friboug, quickly turned in favor of Julian Nagelsmann's men. From the 2nd minute of play, Jamal Musiala opened the scoring with a header from a nice pass from Joshua Kimmich (1-0). Around twenty minutes later, a shot from Robert Andrich was deflected by Tim Kleindienst, and finally deceived the Bosnian goalkeeper (23rd, 2-0). Kai Havertz increased the score shortly before returning to the locker room. Well served by Florian Wirtz, the Arsenal striker sent a heavy strike into the left part of the opposing cage (37th, 3-0). A 20th achievement for Havertz in the selection.

In the second half, Wirtz scored a sumptuous goal from a free kick (50th, 4-0). The Leverkusen player even scored a double in the 57th minute, with a “surface fox” goal (57th, 5-0). Leroy Sané also came to make his contribution, with a 6th goal (66th). The Mannschaft finally won with a score of 7 goals to 0, after a final goal from Kleindienst. Sad evening for the Bosnian selection, which has, as a reminder, not won any of its last ten international matches, in all competitions (1 draw, 9 defeats), and was relegated this evening to League B.

The Netherlands ensures, Sweden solid

The other meeting in Group 3 was between the Netherlands and Hungary. This match had only started for eight minutes before a tragedy occurred. A member of the Hungarian staff suddenly felt unwell on the sidelines after convulsing. The game was immediately suspended due to a medical emergency after the intervention of the trainers. After being evacuated on a stretcher, the Hungarian players still decided to continue the match.

The match therefore resumed with a penalty for the Netherlands, since just before this incident, the VAR had intervened to sanction a Hungarian handball. Weghorst successfully transformed it, thus opening the scoring (9th, 1-0). Cody Gakpo made the break for the Oranges on a new penalty (45th + 12, 2-0) before half-time. Denzel Dumfries subsequently came to definitively record his team's victory (64th, 3-0), scoring his 9th goal in 63 caps. Final score 4-0, with a final touch from Koopmeiners (86th). Finally, Sweden also won (2-1) against Slovakia, thanks in particular to the achievements of Gyokeres (3rd) and Isak (48th). The country thus remains first in its group with 13 points.
