Several gatherings took place on Saturday November 16, 2024 throughout France to denounce violence against children and adolescents. Karine was saved by her aunt from the multiple abuses inflicted on her by her parents. An affair which revealed the dysfunctions of the State. Testimony.
On screen, a young actress plays Karine, a child martyr, beaten and raped under the gaze of the real victim, now 27 years old. At his side, Laurence Jambu, his aunt. In the film as in life, the latter fought a fierce battle to save Karine from the clutches of her abusive parents. That evening, Laurence and Karine invited their family and loved ones to the premiere of the film which recounts their lives. Throughout her childhood, Karine was her parents' bully.
The film is faithful to the smallest details of what Karine experienced during her years of abuse: “There were insults all day long, they hit me, they pulled my hair, they burned cigarettes on my body”. Added to this mistreatment is horror. A man already convicted of pedophilia is hosted by Karine's parents: “This person raped me at home in exchange for money.”
