It was with a gigantic question mark that the sixth evening of the Star Academy this Friday, November 15 on TF1 . Once again postponed to Friday evening due to the French rugby team match this Saturday, the telehook this week was placed under the sign of surprises.
Students and public therefore did not fully know the program for this evening which saw Emma, Vendéen Masséo and Breton Charles on the bench of nominees. From the opening anthem, a surprise was invited onto the set. A person with a modified voice, dressed in a costume of light borrowed from Mask Singer, burst in. Several clues were disclosed to help unmask her until the moment of the revelation: it was in reality Jean-Pascal Lacoste, the mythical “agitator” of season 1 of the program.

Julien Doré, exceptional teacher
During the week, the ukulele singer revealed in the New Star had gone to the castle to attend the debrief of the previous prime and provide advice to the students thanks to his role as an exceptional teacher. On this Friday's prime, the artist sang the title Femme Like You of Kamaro with Marguerite, for whom he has a big surprise in store.
At the end of the hit, the singer slipped away to let the academician's three brothers take his place. Enough to trigger a sincere but controlled emotion in the academician, who finished the song embraced in the arms of her brothers, fans, like her, of Julien Doré.

Surprises galore
Apart from Franck and Maïa, the two big forgotten ones from this prime, all the students were treated to their surprise this Friday evening. Julie, for example, shared a duet with Louane on the title Feeling good. This Saturday, the student will also be invited to sing with Patrick Bruel during one of his concerts. Tom, Maureen's boyfriend, joined her at the end of her painting shared with Alyocha Schneider.
During his mystery duet on Little Mary by Francis Cabrel, Ebony discovered her partner, for the duration of a song, who was originally supposed to be her father, the singer Thierry Cham. Unfortunately held abroad due to plane problems, his father finally gave way on stage to Mentissa, revealed in The Voice . Once again, Ebony performed a flawless duet. A talent also highlighted by director Michael Goldman.
Another surprise, and not the least, singer Beth Ditto from Gossip came to share a duet with Marine, who until the last moment thought she would sing with Ebony.
Finally, TF1 slipped in a small dose of self-promotion during the revival of BB Brunes by Ulysse by bringing on stage the thirty misses competing for the next Miss France election, which will take place on December 14 at Futuroscope. The young singer nevertheless had the real surprise after his performance to see his grandmother and her girlfriend come on stage.
But it was the surprise reserved for Nikos himself that marked the evening. After a few false phone rings, the host's mother, 77 years old, arrived on the set of the Star Academy to ask him to put ties back on his suits.
A female top 3
For the now traditional battle between the three best students of the castle, the jury had to decide between three young women this week: Marine, Marguerite (who put her title back on the line) and Ebony. It's on the song with Sia's vocals, Chandelierthat young artists have distinguished themselves. It is finally Marine, who with three of the jury's votes leaves with the immunity pass which will allow her to calmly go to the next evaluations without fear of nomination.
Nominees in the spotlight despite an inevitable elimination
No jealousy during this bonus, the three students named this week, Masséo, Emma and Charles, were also treated to a surprise. Before facing each other in music, they shared a trio on the song With class by Corneille, who ended up joining the students, delighted by the singer's presence.
Despite this, the three young singers had to face the nominations by defending their place on a title chosen for each of them: Letter to France by Michel Polnareff for Charles, who made a string of false notes, In favor of autumn of Tété for Masséo who mastered his song despite a lack of interpretation and All I Ask of Adele for Emma, who focused everything on emotion, sometimes to the detriment of accuracy.

In the end, it was Charles who received the most votes from the public, leaving the other academicians with the difficult task of deciding between Emma and Masséo, two close friends at the castle. After a perfect tie in the votes, it was Charles who had the last vote and decided to bring Masséo back to Dammarie-les-Lys. Emma was thus eliminated, bursting into tears when the result was announced. “My heart hurts. It’s my dream to do the tour that’s disappearing”she reveals.
There is no doubt that this new elimination is likely to destabilize the remaining students, who will nevertheless have to quickly get back to work in order to prepare for the “alumni bonus” which will take place next Saturday, on TF1.
