The artist came to present his latest album to us, The echo of pearls, a work that traces his emotional journey and his inspirations. In this fascinating exchange, Corneille confides in his need to turn to music as therapy, an outlet born from his life experiences.
He shares with us his beginnings in music, when he worked in airport baggage services. Despite the obstacles and the singularity of his musical style, neither totally soul, nor variety or rap, Corneille was able to impose his unique imprint. By drawing on his experiences, he shaped an unclassifiable sound, which escaped the musical categories of the time and allowed him to carve out a place for himself as a true R&B UFO.
