Eliane Müller on her happiness as a baby with Sascha Ruefer: “It gives me deep basic trust”
The singer from Hochdorf talked about her pregnancy and the challenges it presented for her professional life.
Eliane Müller and Sascha Ruefer recently announced that they are expecting their first child together. In an interview with “Schweizer Illustrierte”, the 34-year-old now reveals the first details about the good news.
The couple doesn’t know the gender yet and don’t want to find out: “We’re going to be surprised,” Müller reveals to the magazine during a shopping trip through Lucerne. The expectant mother recently toured with her album “Final Destination” – despite the challenges that come with her pregnancy. So the nausea and baby kicks would affect their performances. Performing together still feels unique, explains Eliane Müller. The band also noticed that she was singing better since her pregnancy.
The singer says that in addition to her singing lessons, the confidence that the baby gives her also contributes to her being more relaxed. And she emphasizes: “Apparently the music calms not only me, but also the child.”
Marriage is not an issue at the moment
Sascha Ruefer already has a 10-year-old son. It is the first child for the musician from Hochdorf. Eliane Müller is looking forward to the patchwork family. She is convinced “that Matti will be a great brother.” Marriage is not an issue for the couple at the moment as they feel no pressure to get married just for the baby.
Rather, the singer and the sports presenter concentrate on organizing their everyday lives, which is a challenge given their professional commitments and their shared wine bar in Geuensee. Müller’s parents are supporting the couple and are looking forward to their grandchild, as the 34-year-old tells Schweizer Illustrierte.
Eliane Müller believes that her partner might find it more difficult to return to work because he is already a loving and involved father. She appreciates his reliability and describes this as the reason why their two-year relationship works so well.
The Hochdorf native plans to give several Christmas concerts in December. What she feels, however, is that the pregnancy reduces her energy. To prepare for this, she spends a lot of time resting on concert days in order to cope with the evenings. She is aware that she has to get used to a slower pace because she has “the miracle of life” within her. (luz)
