A former employee of the luxury brand Louboutin is suspected of having embezzled nearly 1.5 million euros of company products.

She allegedly stole 719 pairs of shoes, but also 700 pieces of leather goods.

This suspect was indicted for “organized gang theft”.

This is a theft of extraordinary magnitude. The luxury shoe brand Louboutin discovered that many of its brand products were being resold illegally on the web. A former employee of the group is suspected of having stolen more than 1,400 pieces from the company between January and November 2024. The case began thanks to the vigilance of an employee, who noticed that a Facebook page was selling pairs that have not yet been launched on the market. Louboutin took the report seriously and hired a private detective to obtain information on the retailer.

A 30-year-old French woman suspected of theft

The accused then reached an agreement with Louboutin. In exchange for the guarantee of not being prosecuted, he denounces the woman who provided him with these luxury models. She is in fact a French woman, aged 30.

The pairs exhibited there are very special. “These are not the shoes that are on sale in stores, specifies Mᵉ Alexandra Hawrylyszyn, interviewed by the TF1 morning team. These are previous collections or prototypes.

719 pairs of shoes stolen

Concretely, investigators suspect the employee of having taken the models from stock and sending them to the United States. After inventory, Louboutin identified that 719 pairs of shoes, but also 700 pieces of leather goods, were stolen. In total, the manufacturer estimates the damage at 1.5 million euros. Other discoveries will also be made at the suspect's home. 200 luxury products, including 60,000 euros of Louboutin products, a luxury car and four telephones were found there.
