Before attending the Te Deum on the occasion of King’s Day, Prince Laurent spoke, once again, of his legal battle with the aim of obtaining social security coverage.
This Friday morning, King Albert II, Prince Laurent, Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz attended the Te Deum on the occasion of King’s Day, in the cathedral of Saints-Michel-et-Gudule, located in the heart of the capital. During the crowd, Prince Laurent returned to his legal battle with the aim of obtaining social security coverage. A legal battle already mentioned this Thursday.
Speaking to RTBF, King Philippe’s brother explains: “ What I ask is that we respect basic law “. Prince Laurent had already stated that he wanted “ live in Italy ». « I don’t make it a question of financial means, but of respect. When a migrant comes here, he registers and he has rights “, he continues.

As our colleagues point out, Prince Laurent’s endowment amounts to 388,000 euros this year, but his wife Princess Claire and his three children have no social security coverage. Thus, he decided to take legal action, citing the Union of Middle Classes (UCM) and the National Institute of Social Insurance for Workers (Inasti) before the French-speaking Labor Court of Brussels last year.
