The Algerian national team, led by Bosnian coach Vladimir Petkovic, is looking forward to finishing the qualifiers with a full score when it faces its host Equatorial Guinea in Malabo in the fifth round of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations.
Morocco will host the 35th edition of the continental championship between December 21, 2025 and January 18, 2026.
The Algerian team, which had already qualified for the African finals, won; 12 points from 4 matches, leading Group E against Equatorial Guinea (7 points), Togo (2) and Liberia (1).

The match will be held today, Thursday, November 14, at the new Malabo Stadium, and the match will start at four o’clock (16:00) in the evening, Mecca and Doha time, and two o’clock in the afternoon (14:00) in Algeria.

The Desert Warriors team won the first leg over Equatorial Guinea with two clean goals scored by Houssem Aouar and Amine Guiri.
In addition to Algeria, the teams of Egypt, Angola, the Republic of the Congo, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Senegal qualified, along with Morocco as the host.
