Skip Bayless extended congratulations to LeBron James after the 39-year-old superstar added yet another milestone to his remarkable career on Wednesday. LeBron became the oldest player to record a triple-double in three consecutive games during the Lakers’ 128-123 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Previously, the record for the oldest player with three consecutive triple-doubles also belonged to LeBron, who achieved it at 34 years and 310 days old during the 2019 season with the Lakers.
In this latest game, LeBron led his team to victory with an outstanding all-around performance, filling up the stat sheet with 35 points, 12 rebounds, 14 assists and one steal in 36:56 minutes. He shot 13 of 22 from the field, including 4 of 7 from beyond the arc, and made five of eight free throws.

Known as one of LeBron’s biggest critics, Skip Bayless acknowledged the Lakers star’s heroic effort and shared a congratulatory message for the “King” on his latest achievement.
“Congrats to LeBron James for a 3rd straight triple double at nearly 40 years of age,” Skip tweeted.
Interestingly, Skip’s congratulatory message to LeBron came just an hour after the veteran analyst had taken another jab at the four-time NBA Finals MVP, questioning his clutch gene.
“That LeBron “pressure” commercial always makes me chuckle,” Skip said. “Anybody remember his 4th quarters of Games 1, 2, 3 and 4 vs Denver 2 years ago and the 4th quarters of Games 1 and 2 vs Denver last year???”
Fans in awe of LeBron James
Countless fans joined Skip Bayless in celebrating LeBron James’ latest basketball achievement. Social media buzzed with excitement following the veteran superstar’s third consecutive triple-double.
“He’s literally the greatest ever. We’ve never seen this type of consistency in a player at this age before ever,” a fan commented.
“And people still wanna talk about a bald gambling addict just because he had cool shoes lmao. Bron is the goat,” wrote another user.
“No one’s ever going to do this again at this age. Ladies and gentlemen, LeBron James!” commented another X user.
“Wow! Lebron is an old man but is still able to play well in the NBA. We aren’t hearing enough about this,” said another.
“Triple-doubles in THREE straight games. Most players don’t get ONE for the entire season!!! We are truly blessed,” wrote another user.
LeBron has been on a remarkable run over the last four games, averaging 28.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 12.3 assists while shooting 58%, including an impressive 48% from beyond the arc.
