TC commences coverage of the Billie Jean King Cup finals live from Malaga, Spain, Wednesday, November 13, with a battle between Spain and Poland at noon Eastern time.

The United States squad is captained by Hall of Famer and Tennis Channel analyst Lindsay Davenport, who was part of the 1996, 1999 and 2000 cup-winning squads and had a combined record of 33-3 as a player, including a 7-0 doubles record. The team is set to play Slovakia on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 12 p.m. ET, with the winner advancing to face Australia on November 17. During the event’s history, the United States has won the cup a record 18 times.

The Billie Jean King Cup Finals features a single-elimination tournament with countries competing to advance in the bracket. Every head-to-head battle consists of two singles matches followed by a doubles contest, with each worth one point. The country that wins two matches will move to the next round.

Four of the 12 nations have an automatic bye to the second-round quarterfinals. The champion will be crowned November 20 at 12 p.m. ET. A complete schedule can be found at the Billie Jean King Cup website: https://www.billiejeankingcup.com/en/tickets.

Hall of Famers Tracy Austin and Pam Shriver will be on air during Tennis Channel’s coverage of the Billie Jean King Cup Finals this year. Austin knows only championship outcomes from her playing days in the event, as her American teams won the crown in 1978, 1979 and 1980, the three years she competed. Shriver, one of the best doubles players of all time, participated on U.S. cup-winning teams in 1986 and 1989, and was 19-1 in singles and doubles during her time in the competition. They will be joined by Chanda Rubin, who represented the U.S. five times and posted 7-3 singles and 1-0 doubles records. She was also part of the 1999 cup championship team. Shelby Rogers was on the doubles team that clinched the United States’ most recent championship in 2017, and rounds out Tennis Channel’s on-air team this week.

Billie Jean King Cup Finals coverage on Tennis Channel and T2 will be part of the network’s worldwide Center Court programming, along with the men’s ATP Finals. All matches can be viewed live and on-demand on the network’s app and website.

Davenport’s U.S. team is headlined by World No. 11 singles star Danielle Collins and World No. 5 doubles sensation Taylor Townsend. Caroline Dolehide (No. 14, doubles), Peyton Stearns (No. 48, singles) and Ashlyn Krueger (No. 65, doubles) complete the American roster.
