Tuesday November 12 in Koh-Lanta: the cursed tribe, Cassandra was eliminated by the reunited tribe. For Télé Star, she confides in this departure at the gates of the final.
Télé Star: When you leave for the council, what state of mind are you in?
Cassandra: By leaving for the council, I am a little resigned, because I know that it will be between Ugo and me. Now, I want to stay, but I also really want Ugo to go as far as possible. I know that whatever the outcome, this will be bad advice. I was very sad in advance.
When you understand that you are eliminated, what is your internal reaction?
I'm disappointed that the adventure is ending, I really would have liked to see it through to the end. But hey, I'm so happy to see that Ugo is staying that it calms down my exit. During my first Fates Bound elimination, I was really devastated. There, I leave with a light heart.
Before the council, you asked certain ex-yellows to vote against you rather than Ugo. Cold, how do you view this sacrifice?
Honestly, I have no regrets. In that moment, I feel something so strong that I don't feel like it's a sacrifice. In my eyes, it was just that things happened that way. I wanted things to happen like that and it never left me. Even today, I have absolutely no regrets. I'm very happy I did it.
Before this advice, you almost won the star's immunity test. Did this defeat haunt you?
It's true that if I had only one regret in this adventure, it would be not having won this event against Jacques. Afterwards, I pushed myself to the limit. When I slip, it's because my legs are paralyzed. I couldn't feel anything anymore, so I couldn't have caught myself unless I did it with my arms, but I didn't have any arms anymore. (laughs) Really, I have nothing to regret because I gave everything.
From the start of the adventure, you did not hide your admiration for Ugo. Did you expect to make such a journey alongside the phoenix of Koh-Lanta?
No ! Yes, I was very impressed by the adventurer he is, but I had no idea how it was going to happen. I said to myself “Maybe we won’t have a feeling, maybe we won’t get along that well”but in fact, it was obvious as soon as he took me on his team. I didn't know that teams were so important, I thought that once reunification happened, we would all mix together based on affinities. And in the end, the fact that he was captain was of capital importance. He took his role very seriously and it created a very strong bond among the Reds. I never would have imagined that at the start of the adventure, and I really didn't think that it would become so important to me during the adventure.
What brought you and Ugo together?
We have a bit of the same character, the same temperament, we reacted in the same way in the event of conflict, we put things aside. We also have a lot of interests in common, like climbing and fishing. At the camp, we did a lot of activities together, so it brought us closer together.
“Gustin supported me enormously at the start of the adventure”
You were also very close to Gustin, who was not unanimous on the red team. What did it bring you on a daily basis?
During the first part of the adventure, Gustin was a great support for me. I was chaining black balls and it was very difficult. I couldn't prove myself, I felt left out since I could never debrief the tests with the team… During that period, Gustin supported me a lot. It was also with him that I learned to fish, it worked really well between us.
Your relationship took a hit after reunification, especially when Gustin let the others eliminate you with linked destinies. Have your relationships calmed down since the end of the game?
Yes, of course, and even during the adventure. I'm glad I was able to come back to eliminate him because I gave him back. I told him “You eliminated me, I eliminated you, we're even“. For me, from that moment on, there was no longer any animosity between us. I manage very well to separate things between the game and real life and I have no resentment towards him.
A few weeks ago, a rumor emerged about a possible romantic relationship between you and Gustin. What are your feelings about this?
It makes me laugh! People are curious, they imagine things and I find it funny. But I'm not with him!
In the last episode, you seemed very saddened not to have won an individual event. Do you feel like you've missed out on part of your Koh-Lanta?
No, not at all! Which makes me feel like I've missed out on part of my
Koh Lantathese are the 8 black balls. I missed a lot of team events and it's a small failure, but otherwise, I experienced the adventure 100%. Victories are the holy grail, but I gave it my all!
“If I was offered to do another Koh-Lanta, I would consider it”
Many viewers support you on social networks. What does this do to you?
It makes me very happy! When we go to
Koh Lantawe don't know how long we're going to stay and if we're going to leave an impression on people. I didn't stay until the end but I still had a great adventure. Obviously, I'm really happy to see that people like my background and my personality. It's a small victory!
If we suggested that you move to another
Koh Lantawhat would be your answer?
I would consider it, but not right away. I haven't completely recovered from the adventure yet, but why not in a few years?
Are you not fully recovered?
Physically, it's okay. I gained weight, I started exercising again… But psychologically, it's more complicated. This adventure still needs to be digested. When I got home, I had a lot of trouble controlling myself with food. Production had given me all the instructions to follow so as not to get sick, but I couldn't control myself. I ate a lot and it made me sick, I vomited… It was complicated.
Your new novel, Atalantawas released on November 6. Tell us everything!
It's an epic adventure novel! Atalanta is a mythological rewriting in two volumes. I reinterpret the myth of Atalanta, a little-known heroine of Greek mythology. I myself didn't know her well even though I'm a fan of mythology, so I decided to retrace her entire story. It goes from her childhood to the major events she experienced, as the only woman on the Argonauts crew. She went to conquer the Golden Fleece with Jason, she is an important figure and I wanted to put her in the spotlight, make her a main character.
