As the Stade de France prepares to host the match between the French team and the Israeli selection, this Thursday, an extraordinary security system, mobilizing 4,000 police officers and gendarmes and 1,600 stewards, will be deployed to ensure the safety of players and supporters for this Nations League football match.
At the same time, the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, indicated, this Tuesday, November 12 in the evening on 8 p.m. on TF1, that the police will exercise “very particular surveillance in the neighborhoods, on places frequented by our compatriots of the Jewish faith.
“We will have strong surveillance, near the stadium but also in the center of Paris and on public transport. There is no question of allowing the slightest doubt to arise. There is no question of us taking the risk of having this repetition of dramatic events, this manhunt that we saw in Amsterdam,” added the Minister of the Interior.
Indeed, last Thursday, November 7, Israeli supporters of Maccabi Tel Aviv were victims of anti-Semitic attacks after the match between their club and Ajax Amsterdam in the Dutch city.

Attacks that the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, strongly condemned. “The violence against Israeli citizens in Amsterdam recalls the most shameful hours in history. I strongly condemn them and extend my support to the injured. France will continue to fight relentlessly against odious anti-Semitism,” the French president wrote on X.
The match between the French team and Israel is therefore judged to be “under high tension” given the tense situation in the Middle East and the rise in anti-Semitic acts in Europe, and particularly in France. According to Bruno Retailleau, at present, there is no particular threat, “but zero risk does not exist,” he says.
