Every year in the autumn, Ghent is the setting for a week that is entirely dedicated to track cycling. The Six Days is a permanent fixture on the cycling calendar. From Tuesday 12 to Sunday 17 November, competitions will be held in disciplines such as time trials, points races, scratch, elimination and derny. were last year Lindsay De Vylder in Robbe Ghys the final winners for the second year in a row.
The final starter list is not yet known at the time of writing, but we already know that some big names will make an appearance. So will the Frenchman Benjamin ThomasOlympic champion and twice world champion in the omnium, to rival our compatriots. With a stage win in the Giro behind him, he is certainly in good shape. It is not yet known who his partner will be.
With the ladies we already know that the always strong Lotte Kopecky will be present. She will be in action on the fourth and fifth evenings in the elimination and the points race. Kopecky is world champion in both disciplines.
