Friday evening, the Pax cinema in Quend celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Arras film festival. The hall has in fact been associated for several years with this Hauts-de-France festival hosted by David Miot. Eight previews will be shown at Pax until December 20. The broadcast of the opening night live from Arras preceded the broadcast of the filmA fanfare.
This film, shot near Dunkirk, tells the story of how two brothers separated at birth reconnect through their love of music. One is a conductor and the other plays the trombone in a marching band. For this inaugural evening, the opportunity was great to invite the harmony of Quend as a pre-program. “ We said yes straight away. It is a coherent idea for our two associations », explains its president, Thomas Gamain. Four pieces, including Flip flop and fly et Magic in the the air were played in the hall. At the end, Philippe Pallenchier, the conductor, answered several questions from the public.
