Food Lion hit by cyberattack in North Carolina

WXII 12.COM. 806 NOW HERE ON YOUR SUNDAY, TOMORROW IS VETERANS DAY AND SOME ARE CELEBRATING OUR NATION’S HEROES. EARLY YESTERDAY, THE BASEBALL FIELD AT SOUTH ASHEBORO MIDDLE SCHOOL WAS TRANSFORMED INTO A FIELD OF HONOR WITH ROWS OF U.S. FLAGS AS A TRIBUTE TO VETERANS. EACH FLAG HAS A VETERAN’S NAME WRITTEN ON IT, PURCHASED BY THEIR LOVED ONES, AND AT THE ACTUAL CAROLINA FIELD OF HONOR AT TRIAD PARK IN COLFAX. THERE WILL BE A PRESENTATION TOMORROW THAT STARTS AT 11 A.M. IT WILL INCLUDE A 21 GUN SALUTE AND TAPS BY THE RANDOLPH COUNTY HONOR GUARD. IN GREENSBORO, THE ANNUAL VETERANS DAY PARADE TOOK OVER DOWNTOWN YESTERDAY, TRAVELING ALONG ELM MARKET CHURCH AND LINDSEY STREETS. THE EVENT HONORS FAMILIES WHO LOST, LOVED ONES IN COMBAT. FAMILIES OF PRISONERS OF WAR, THOSE WHO ARE MISSING IN ACTION. AND OF COURSE, OUR SURVIVORS. WE NEED TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY AWARE OF OUR VETERANS AND THE SACRIFICES THAT THEY HAVE MADE, ALONG WITH THEIR FAMILIES. IT FEELS GREAT. IT REALLY DOES, TO SHOWING HOW MANY OF CIVILIANS, AS WELL AS BUSINESSES SUPPORT OUR VETERANS COMMUNITY. ONE OF THE GRAND MARSHALS FOR THE PARADE WAS MARINE AND VIETNAM VETERAN HAYWOOD MILLER. THE GREENSBORO NATIVE SURVIVED THE EXPLOSION OF THE USS FORRESTAL. THE OTHER GRAND MARSHAL WAS THOMAS FOSSETT, A 103 YEAR OLD WORLD WAR TWO VETERAN. IT’S JUST AN HONOR TO BASICALLY HAVE A LIVE WITH A PERSON THAT HAS SERVED OUR COUNTRY. YOU KNOW, AND IF IT WASN’T FOR THEM, YOU KNOW, WE WOULDN’T HAVE THE FREEDOM THAT WE HAVE NOW. THAT WAS FOSSETT’S WIFE. OUR CHRIS PETERSON SPOKE WITH HER TO LEARN MORE ABOUT FOSSETT’S TIME IN THE ARMY, AND OTHER WAYS HE HAS GIVEN BACK
