The perpetrator is an Algerian under Obligation to leave French territory (OQTF).

Banned from returning to France

Alerted by local residents, the anti-crime brigade quickly went to the scene and saw a man enter a vehicle parked near the Mourillon beaches. This man, cowering inside, was searching the passenger compartment and refused to come out when the officers ordered him to. According to local radio, the man rebelled and injured two police officers who tried to extract him.
