MP Aymeric Caron accused many French personalities of supporting the “Gaza massacres”. Among them, the host and producer Arthur, who responded to him on Instagram. “Mr. Caron, your speech reeks of anti-Semitism,” he denounced in particular.
A “delusional obsession with Israel”. Arthur expressed his fed up with the position of NFP MP Aymeric Caron on the war between the Hebrew state and Hamas.

“Let all supporters of the Gaza massacres (Enthoven, Yadan, Arfi and Crif, Fourest, BHL, Korsia, Arthur, etc.) assume that they support a multi-documented and confirmed genocide, and that it is civilians who are exterminated, with full knowledge of the facts,” declared Aymeric Caron.
Directly taken to task by Aymeric Caron, host Arthur announced on Sunday, via a press release published by the law firm Zimeray & Finelle representing him, the filing of a complaint for defamation against the elected official.
“By accusing me, you designate me as a target,” regrets Arthur
An accusation which therefore caused a very strong reaction from Arthur, who, on Saturday, shared on Instagram a video accompanied by a long text to denounce the comments of Aymeric Caron, whom he accuses of defaming him and “designating him as target”.
“I also challenge you to respond to the video which shows your delusional obsession with Israel for months,” added Arthur, who believes that “defending the Palestinian people is laudable, but that does not excuse closing eyes on the crimes of Hamas.
The video highlights, for example, that “the rebellious elected official (related) devoted nearly 70% of his posts and interventions to the Middle East, compared to barely 8% for the environmental cause which is nevertheless dear to him” or still points the finger at “approximations” and “lies about a flammable conflict”.
For Arthur, a public figure of Jewish faith, this position of the MP highlights “a speech which reeks of anti-Semitism”. “It’s become your specialty, right? Harassing predominantly Jewish personalities on the networks, regardless of the consequences,” he denounced.
The host recalled that in his eyes, any death was “unbearable” and ironically deplored the lack of reaction from Aymeric Caron in other conflicts such as “in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Sudan, in Syria, in Yemen? For oppressed women in Iran and Afghanistan? (…) Perhaps because in these conflicts, no Jews are involved.”
As a reminder, host Arthur and his family had to be subject to “reinforced protection” in November 2023 after the October 7 attacks.
