The push from her sister Lydie
In the show A Sunday in the countryside This November 10, Frédéric Lopez asked Sandrine Bonnaire to tell the story of her beginnings in cinema. It was one of his sisters who gave him the helping hand of destiny to launch his career: “It's my sister Lydie who finds an ad in the France Soir newspaper who responds to this ad and sends a photo of herself. There are ink stains on her face, but we can still see her relatively. And luckily, we had the phone at that time. As it was difficult to make ends meet, sometimes the phone was cut off because the parents had not paid.” says the actress. She continues : “And the phone, one day, rings. And I don't know why, I find myself all alone at home. And they tell me, it's the production, we would like to see Lydie Bonnaire. She wasn't there , she was in the south of France I hang up and I have another sister who calls me and Corinne says to me, give me the number, I would like to act as a backup. Come with me, I don't want to go alone.”
Arriving there, the two sisters meet the director and it is at this moment that his destiny will change: “We see Pialat who I don't know. I don't know any Maurice Pialat films at all and he makes us do an improvisation scene.” She will get the role to play in To our Loves. The host decides to play the extract from this famous scene and asks the actress what she feels when she sees the images of this 15-year-old girl: “She touches me, there is a rebellious side that Pialat liked. I wasn't afraid of anything.” This time, chance did things well.
