“It was the logical continuation of my military career,” Ms. Simon explains straight away. “I spent almost 22 years in the Army as an officer specializing in communications, under contract. After leaving the army, I I had different positions that I never really found myself in. You think you can leave the army but it's very difficult I had a hard time finding my way but I said to myself that the best thing. , was to help the veterans of whom I am part.”

During this double decade of service, Aline Simon traveled a lot, visiting the African continent in particular and only recently returned from these mobilizations.

“My last external operation was in Malin, in 2022. I also fought in southern Lebanon, Ivory Coast, Kosovo and the Sahel. During this mission, I was in support of the special forces, upstream of Operation Serval (an operation launched in January 2013 by the President of the Republic at the time, François Hollande, in the face of the advance of terrorists towards the capital of Mali, Bamako, Editor's note). “It's obvious to want to bring help, assistance and solidarity to what we call veterans, but who are in reality only 22 or 23 years old for some”, concludes Aline Simon.
