Absent from Didier Deschamps' list for the second time in a row, the captain of the Blues is going through the worst period of his career. After failed matches against Barcelona and AC Milan, Kylian Mbappé was however counting on Osasuna's reception on Saturday afternoon to revive himself. Despite the offensive festival of Real Madrid and Vinicius, author of a hat-trick, the captain of the Blues did not shine. Once again, he seemed borrowed, lacking confidence and not at all successful in his initiatives.
An observation which terrifies the Spanish press and in particular Mundo Deportivo, which evokes in its columns the mental state of the Bonydnois. “His attempts continue to fail, he has no confidence and he plays with visible anxiety which has pushed Bernabeu supporters to chant his name to boost his morale” writes the Spanish media in its columns. “Vinicius also encouraged him” concludes the media, which therefore confirms that Real Madrid as a whole is starting to worry about the state of Kylian Mbappé, whether physically but also mentally.

For his part, Carlo Ancelotti came to the aid of his number 9 after his team's victory. “He tried, he made good combinations. Like I said, he hasn't scored in the last few games, but he's always been there. He will undoubtedly start scoring again. The important thing is that he participated in the attack” confided the Real Madrid coach, who maintains total confidence in Kylian Mbappé despite the very difficult period experienced by the former AS Monaco scorer. Hoping that this international period during which he will not join the French team will allow him to recharge his batteries and come back stronger in order to end the year 2024 in style.
