Yesterday, Thursday, police officers in the Casablanca Security Province arrested seven people, including six of Malian and Algerian nationality, and a Moroccan person, on suspicion of involvement in an intentional traffic accident and intentional physical harm, in addition to endangering the safety of road users.

According to security sources, these interventions came after the police received notification of a dispute between a group of people in the city center, which developed into a confrontation using four-wheel drive vehicles. One of those involved deliberately ran over one of his opponents, resulting in injuries of varying severity.

The source added that the immediate intervention operation resulted in the arrest of the seven suspects and the seizure of three SUVs used in the incident. He also pointed out that “a sum of money was found inside one of these cars, and its source and the circumstances of its possession are currently being investigated.”

Continuing research and investigations into this case have also made it possible to identify the victim of the assault, who is currently under medical observation in a private clinic, where he is receiving the necessary treatments.

It is worth noting that the seven detainees were subjected to theoretical custody under the guidance of the Public Prosecution, with the aim of revealing all the circumstances of the incident and its motives.
