Amira Tahri won the world youth kickboxing title during Enfusion on Saturday. The Moroccan defeated Julie Vanhoutteghem and thus adds a new prestigious title to her list of achievements.

“Today I showed again why the ring is mine,” Amira Tahri wrote after her victory. “With an undefeated record of 28 wins and zero losses, I went into this match more relaxed than ever before.”

The Moroccan-Dutch champion was born in Rotterdam in 2009 and started kickboxing at the age of six. She has been undefeated since then. In 2022, director Elza Jo Tratlehner made a documentary about the young champion, highlighting her talent and courage in the ring.

“Watching Amira train is like witnessing a miracle,” Tratlehner said. “Not only at a Dutch or European level, but at an international level.”

Amira Tahri regularly shares training moments on social media, where she shows her experience and talent. She is a role model for Moroccan youth.
