Brigandage at Martigny station: police launch call for witnesses

We know more about the robbery which took place Friday morning at the Martigny station (VS), when an individual threatening the counter staff seized the loot before fleeing.

According to the Valais cantonal police, it appears that “at least” two people are involved in the robbery. Despite a significant police deployment, the search is still ongoing. The Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation and is calling for witnesses.

The first man is of slender build and measures between 165-170 cm. He was dressed in dark pants and a black jacket and hat, with his face partially covered. He was carrying a green sports bag. He made a brief visit to platform No. 1 of the station at 7:13 a.m. Friday morning. The second, wearing a khaki-colored three-quarter-length down jacket, was probably in a vehicle near the station.

Anyone who can provide information about these individuals who attended the Martigny CFF station during the night from Thursday to Friday, between midnight and 3:15 a.m. and shortly before 7:15 a.m., is asked to contact the Valais cantonal police engagement center at 027 326 56 56.
