A vast task, resembling a mission impossible as this last particularly violent campaign once again showed to what extent the gap had widened between two apparently irreconcilable Americas. Between a conservative America, self-proclaimed bearer of American values, the one which voted for Trump, and another America more progressive on societal issues and more open to the outside world. Can the American Nation survive this open divide, this mutual hatred without sinking into civil war?
