The young woman, for her part, indicated that she did not want her former companion to be imprisoned. The latter justified his behavior by “a problem of impulsivity” confiding “being afraid of abandonment”. During the trial, the prosecutor pointed out the fact that the defendant « a recourse to threats and violence which seems to be a habitual recourse in the context of the relationships he maintains with those around him ». Bruno Pelat's sentence was accompanied by a two-year probationary suspension, prohibiting him, in particular, from coming into contact with the former Miss France. The young man's conviction is in accordance with the prosecution's requirements.
