It is by nature adventurous to seek to draw lessons for France from the result of a presidential election in the United States. Our societies and our voting system are not the same. But nevertheless, a few elements can and must serve as lessons for us or at least nourish our thinking. Seen from France, the figure of Donald Trump, as radical and dangerous as it is crude and even vulgar, should have been a sufficient repellent, in a logic of moral barrier to the extreme right that we know well at home since this dynamic based on fundamental values ​​twice enabled the election of Emmanuel Macron to the Elysée against Marine Le Pen. And that it was once again the main lesson of the second round of the last legislative sequence. A dynamic which everyone feels can find its limits very quickly.
