About three minutes had been played in today’s Champions League home game between FC Bayern Munich and Benfica from Lisbon when the south curve of Munich fell silent and organized support was stopped.

“Dear Bayern fans, due to an emergency medical intervention, the south curve will not be supported as usual today. Life trumps sport. We wish the relatives a lot of strength,” said Club No. 12 as the umbrella organization for active fans. FC Bayern Munich said: “Due to a medical emergency in the stands, there are currently no fan chants from Bayern supporters.”
