UNITED STATES – It is a significant indicator in this American presidential election. Donald Trump won the first “swing state”, North Carolina, this Tuesday, November 5. After counting 89% of the ballots, the Republican candidate received 50.8% of the vote, compared to 48.1% for Kamala Harris, according to the Associated Press.
This state was among the seven key or pivotal states, along with Nevada, North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, likely to swing the vote to the Republican or Democratic camp.

In these states, the polls were until the last minute unable to decide between the two candidates.
Remember that Donald Trump or Kamala Harris needs a total of 270 electors out of 538 to claim victory.
