What do we know so far? In fact, no more than we knew at the beginning of this election day.

The fate of the election is still determined by seven swing states, which together contribute 93 electoral votes. To win, a candidate needs to score a total of 270.

Assuming all other states vote as they have historically, Kamala Harris needs 44 votes from swing states to win. Trump needs 51 votes.

It's too early to predict, but preliminary exit polls from key Georgia (16 electoral votes), Arizona (11) and North Carolina (16) don't look promising for Democrats.

If Harris loses in both Georgia and North Carolina, she will only have a shot at the presidency if she wins Pennsylvania. That's why now all eyes are on this state.

Voting has ended in Pennsylvania.

In the final hours of voting, Harris' campaign brought in celebrities to FaceTime students still waiting in line to urge them to stay ahead and vote. Later, Harris' partner Tim Walz also called them.

Democrats asked the court to extend voting at some precincts where there were lines of people wanting to vote: Democrats' lawyers argued that the election commission did not have enough voting machines ready, but the court rejected their claim. Waiting times in some queues reached up to four hours. The judge added that those who managed to get in line by 20:00 local time will be able to cast their vote.

Meanwhile, another office building in Pennsylvania, in the borough of West Chester, received anonymous bomb threats. The building is being searched with dogs, and if nothing is found, it will resume operation.

Harris' campaign is counting heavily on the votes of residents of Philadelphia, the state's largest city. At the same time, three areas of the city, where a significant part of the population is made up of Puerto Rican voters, exceeded the turnout of 2020. Harris' campaign is hoping that after a famous comedian at a Trump rally called Purto Rico “trash island,” residents there will be reluctant to support the Republican.

But at the moment, only 19% of the votes have been counted in the state, and while Kamala Harris is 59%, Donald Trump is 39%, but these percentages don’t mean anything now, because the counting is fastest in large cities, where Harris has more supporters.
