Laurentiu Reghecampf is the new coach of Esperance Sportive de Tunis, the current champion in Tunisia, but who had a modest start to the season and are in 6th place after seven stages, with 12 points, five away from the leader Olympique Beja . The announcement was made through the ES Tunis Instagram account: “Club Esperance de Tunis has finalized the final details of the contract of Mr. Laurentiu Reghecampf, the new head coach of our team. The contract is valid until 2026. The composition of the technical staff is to be announced”.

Laurentiu Reghecampf also coached FC Snagov, Gloria Bistrița, FCU Craiova, Concordia Chiajna, FCSB, Al Hilal, Litex Lovech, Al Wahda, Al Wasl, Al Ahli, Universitatea Craiova, Neftci Baku and Al Tai. With FCSB he won two Romanian championship titles. The coach was out of contract since April of this year, after parting with Al-Tai, which he trained between September 2023 and April 2024.
Laurentiu Reghecampf takes the place of the Portuguese Miguel Cardoso, who was dismissed two weeks ago. ES Tunis plays in the African Champions League, with Djoliba, Sagrada and Pyramids as opponents in the group.
