We review the date of the match between Al-Ahly Saudi Arabia and their guests Al-Shorta from Iraq, in the fourth round of the West Asia group of the AFC Champions League for the elite football season 2024-2025, as well as the broadcasting channels.
The match will take place today, Monday, November 4, at the “Radiant Jewel” Stadium in the King Abdullah Sports City, kicking off at 19:00 Mecca and Doha time (18:00 Cairo time, 20:00 Abu Dhabi time).
You can follow live coverage of the match via the Al Jazeera website.
The two teams have faced each other in 4 previous encounters, with Al-Ahly winning three of them and Al-Shorta winning one.
Al-Ahly currently sits second in the West Asia group with a total score of 9 points, trailing behind their compatriots Al-Hilal on goal difference. Their guests Al-Shorta, however, are in ninth place out of 12 teams in the West with only two points.
In contrast to their distinguished run in the main continental competition, Al-Ahly is struggling in the Saudi League, where they find themselves in ninth place after losing 0-1 in the Jeddah derby against Al-Ittihad last Thursday, marking their fourth defeat of the season.
After Al-Ahly secured a narrow 2-1 victory against Al-Rayyan from Qatar in the last round, their German coach Matthias Jaisle believes that his team will continue to improve in the upcoming phase.
“I thank the players for the effort they put in during this match, and we hope to benefit from these games to develop and advance in this important tournament,” said Jaisle, as quoted by the AFC website.
