A young woman was fatally injured by a shot in the head Monday evening in Doullens (Somme). Her spouse was placed in police custody, France Bleu Picardie learned from the Amiens public prosecutor on Tuesday, November 5, confirming information from Courrier Picard.
The victim is around twenty years old. She was found dead in an apartment in Doullens. Around 7 p.m., the gendarmes were requested by the Samu, cited Thélu, when the young woman had just been seriously injured by a gunshot to the head. The victim, discovered naked, died a few minutes later.
According to information from France Bleu Picardie, when the gendarmes arrived on site, two men were in the home: the victim's spouse, aged under 20, and a neighbor. The soldiers also discovered two firearms in the apartment. It is “hunting weapons”, specifies the public prosecutor of Amiens, Jean-Philippe Vicentini, contacted by France Bleu Picardie.
The young woman's companion was taken into police custody. The suspect “suggests an accidental shooting”, specifies the public prosecutor of Amiens. It was he who went to look for his neighbor shortly after the shooting. He is not known to the justice services for domestic violence and has not consumed alcohol or drugs.
An investigation into intentional homicide has been opened. She will have to determine whether it was an accidental shooting or not. The investigations were entrusted to the Amiens research brigade. The research section was also notified.
