Dubai chocolate soon in Germany: And in Switzerland?

Everyone wants to have it: the Dubai chocolate, which has gone viral on Tiktok in the last few weeks. Now Lindt & Sprüngli Germany also seems to have discovered the potential of chocolate filled with pistachio cream: the hype chocolate bar will be available from November 9th – but only in limited numbers and initially only in selected Lindt branches in Germany.

A total of 1,000 bars were handmade and will soon be available on a staggered basis in selected Lindt branches. Sales start on November 9th in Düsseldorf, on the 11th in Berlin, on the 12th in Frankfurt, on the 13th in Hamburg, on the 14th in Aachen, on the 15th in Stuttgart and on the 16th in Cologne. The coveted chocolate bars will then be available in the online shop – while stocks last.

Cost for a chocolate bar: 14 francs. “What’s special is the texture: delicately melting Lindt milk chocolate encases an incomparable filling with a particularly high proportion of the finest pistachio pulp (24 percent), crunchy Kadayif and velvety tahini,” Lindt & Sprüngli Germany praises the product in its press portal.

After the announcement on Instagram, there was great enthusiasm. “Oh my God, a dream come true,” was one of the hundreds of comments. Or: “This definitely has to go into mass production!” Lindt & Sprüngli Germany then commented: “We are overwhelmed by your interest in the Lindt Dubai Chocolade and understand that you are worried about not getting a bar due to the limited number. We are therefore examining how we can fulfill the request for a higher quantity.”

But there are also critical voices. Many are disappointed that the chocolate is only available in a limited edition and in selected locations. Others think the price is way too high.

We wanted to know whether the coveted chocolate also came to Switzerland and asked Lindt & Sprüngli. A media spokesman confirms that sales in Germany are currently only limited to 1,000 bars. “A launch in Switzerland is currently not planned,” it says when asked. “Depending on the feedback from the market, we will decide what to do next.”
