In the Cowgate district of Edinburgh, Scotland, nightlife establishments were evacuated on Saturday November 2, several roads were also closed to traffic according to Edinburgh Evening News. In the middle of Halloween weekend, witnesses claim to have seen “a severed head” in the middle of the street, according to the Scottish press including The Telegraph, reports Le Parisien.

Law enforcement later announced that they had been called due to a “serious road collision” shortly after 7:30 p.m. A pedestrian was hit by a bus. Forensic tents have been set up, witnesses told the Scottish press. Scottish police later confirmed the death of a 74-year-old man in a traffic accident, hit by a double-decker bus.

Chief Inspector Trisha Clark, Local Area Commander, called for “do not share” on social networks videos of the scene out of respect for the family of the deceased, reports The Telegraph. An investigation is underway.
