The 45-year-old actor and director was recently sentenced to one year in prison, including six months suspended, for sexual assault on two women.

On the occasion of his 10 years at the head of “Grosses Têtes”, Michel Drucker wanted to dedicate an issue of “Vivement Dimanche” to Laurent Ruquier . This November 3, the host and producer was the main guest on the France 3 show. For more than an hour, “le taulier” paid tribute to “the most complete man in our profession”. “I have a lot of admiration and respect for him, I was never able to speak to him informally”declared the 82-year-old presenter in the preamble.

Together, they retraced his career which began in 1980. During the show, several guests such as Maryse Gildas, Julie Leclerc, Michèle Bernier and Joyce Jonathan joined them. And it was only at the very end that Laurent Ruquier had a word for Nicolas Bedos . To Michel Drucker's question about the columnist of “On n'est pas couche” of whom his guest is most proud, he without hesitation cited the name of the actor and director who has just been sentenced to year in prison.

“I wish him to make other films very soon”

Laurent Ruquier on Nicolas Bedos

«My friend is Nicolas Bedos. There's no need to even procrastinate. Of all those we see there [Yann Moix, Léa Salamé, Aymeric Caron, Éric Zemmour, Natacha Polony, Audrey Pulvar et Charles Consigny, NDR]my only friend is Nicolas Bedos. He's someone I love, he's someone who has crazy talent. He's been having problems, we know, for a few weeks, but that's how it is, that's life. That doesn't take anything away from his talent and I hope he makes other films very soon and I love him, he's my friend, Nicolas Bedos.”he replied.

On October 22, the Paris criminal court sentenced him to one year in prison, including six months with suspended probation, and to an obligation of care for sexual assaults on two women in 2023. He also imposed an obligation of addictological care and psychological, a ban on contact with the two victims, and requested that the actor and director be registered in the file of perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses (Fijais).
