PHOENIX (AZFamily) —Showers, thunderstorms and even some snow developed across the state Sunday evening, with cooler-than-normal temperatures for this time of the year.

The high Sunday in Phoenix was 73 degrees, nine degrees cooler than normal. The chance for isolated showers with a few storms continues throughout the evening, with lingering rain and snow showers overnight in eastern Arizona.

Rainfall totals across the Valley look to remain light, around less than a tenth of an inch.

Strong winds are expected through the rest of the evening in western Arizona, where a Wind Advisory remains in effect along the Colorado River, including areas like Lake Havasu. Drier conditions are in the forecast for the start of the week, with temperatures trending cooler than normal this week.

The average high temperature for Phoenix is 82 degrees, and temperatures look to stay in the 70s the entire work week.
