Florent Pagny's daughter has given herself the mission of archiving the tours and certain more intimate moments of the singer, soon to return to “The Voice”. She opens her album to Audrey Crespo-Mara on TF1.

A professional photographer, Ael Pagny tells the story of his father through the eye of his lens. During his numerous tours until his declared illness. Audrey Crespo-Mara landed the debut for the singer's daughter Know how to love.

Ael Pagny has been passionate about photography since the age of 12 when she received her first camera. At 16, she flew to New York to study art. “I like nostalgia, capturing moments and if one day I lose my memory I will at least have photos to remind me”she explains this Sunday, November 3 on TF1. Her first name means “messenger angel”, quite an omen for the one who has made it her mission to transmit these moments of life.

The Pagnys form a family “modest, but close-knit”. “He’s a cool, caring father who lets us do what we do and protects us from afar”describes the young woman. “We always say a little “I love you” when we call each other or when we leave the house.

Lung cancer

Taken since she was little behind the scenes of her father's concerts, the young woman began to archive. Photos that she brings together today in a book. Florent Pagny “doesn’t like to take the break, but he knows what suits him and it’s very fluid”she confides before adding: “He trusts me and I do what I love.” “But it is he who has the last word because it remains his image”assures the photographer.

But during the singer's 60th birthday tour, doctors diagnosed him with inoperable lung cancer. “A shock” for his wife and two children who nickname his illness: “the switch”. “It put a pause on our daily life and our lives. It interrupted everything we were doing to experience what we didn’t want to experience.”describes Ael Pagny who decides not to photograph him “during his worst moments”. She takes her machine back for the last radiotherapy session. “A happy moment, we cross our fingers and hope there will be no more”.

The latter trusts him to reveal his new appearance to the public, while he prepares to film the lives of «The Voice». He lost his hair and his beard, “he doesn’t want to shock the public”. “I didn’t see the sick man, I was taking a photo of my dad. We said to ourselves that it was one more change of look in his life, he has done so many”quips the young woman.
